A couple short days in one post #3

Another multiple day post. This one is March 20, 21, 22, and 23.

3/20/2022

On our way to a camp we stopped at this rock hill mountain thing. Wesley, Kyla and I climbed it because we like climbing rocks. Mom and dad stayed behind and looked at this rock with ancient graffiti. Wow. Interesting.

Nice view

A guy was brave enough to take a photo on an overhang. I'm deathly afraid of heights, so that's a big no for me. Literally when we went to Ecuador we stayed in a hotel with stairs with the gaps, and I struggled going up them. Probably didn't help that I was sleep deprived and it was like 1 am. ðŸĪŠ

Wesley and I built a cairn (a rock stack) before we went down.

Goats!

The next stop was a sand hill thing. I am strangely fast at going uphill, even with sand, so I made it up in like 3 minutes, while it took 10-15 minutes for everyone else.

I don't like being on photos, so I took a picture of my family posing for a photo, so I can prove I was there. You have to go up the sand because if you climb the rocks, which are sandstone, you would probably die. 3 rock climbers tried, and the rock collapsed under them and crushed them.

More goats :) if you couldn't tell I like animals way more then people, besides my best friend.

At the last stop on our way to the camp we went to a canyon thing. Look at the face, reminded me of king George in the Hamilton musical (I love that musical way too much, watch it.) 2 climbers got stuck on these walls all day until they were rescued.

This is what the camels eat. They are everywhere, in the distance it looks purple.

The front legs of the adults are tied close together so they can't go to fast :( seems mean to me.

We built another cairn! This one was pretty easy because the stones were flat and didn't take much balancing.

We added some more rocks bc why not.

I braided mom's hair! I'm just so incredibly talented, you don't even know 🙄

3/21/2022

We liked the first place so much that we asked to go back today, there is this tree I forgot to take a pic of yesterday oops

There is a spring up here! A small settlement down below use this to get water

We went even higher today, but couldn't see a safe way of going up any more.

So high

Built yet another cairn, we like doing that

Built a pyramid, buried a dead beetle in there. We should've been Egyptians. Just look how good it is.

We're burying Wesley in there now 😈

While waiting for parents to catch up I built another cairn. You can't have too many.

This was sad. It took us so long, we got up to 39 and it fell down before we could out on the 40th one. We were aiming for 47 because that's how old dad is. We replaced the bottom 3 times because we found even bigger rocks. The biggest rock I had to bring up a rocky slope ALL BY MYSELF because SOMEBODY didn't want to help me. Wesley and I built it all by ourselves. I'm usually a pretty strong person, but I had to scoot the big rock across the ground because it was so big and heavy. Eventually I got it on its side and rolled it, took me like 10 or 15 minutes to bring it up though, and then we had to move the small cairn onto it which took a bit. I think Kyla has a pic of it at like 37 rocks or something, I'll ask soon. Wesley and I scraped ourselves a couple times on the rocks 😕

Imagine it in all its glory, it would've been so cool 😔

This is what the camps were like.

Look how friendly this cat is :))

Since I'm uncomfortable with being in photos my hat ends up being in them instead. If you closely you can see it on the 'I'

We are in... the city carved out of stone? What's it called 😭 just asked Kyla, it's Petra.

This a fancy tomb, looks cool

This has a cool texture. Idk why

This is for 2 people, you can see the grooves for them.

Pretty flower :)

Cat :)

The groove on the side was used for water when Petra was inhabited

Elephant rock! Can u see it?

I don't remember where this led to

Wesley got too close to the heaters at the camp lol

Seeing a bit of the treasury through the canyon walls.

Why does everything look less cool in pictures? 😒

This was actually the original floor of the canyon, but all the sand covered it up

Do you see mom, or wow? Or is it just designs.

A burial house thing, sometimes they would stack the bodies.

The small one was probably used for a baby :(

Another theater thing

A church I think

A well, very deep and pear shaped under ground

This sas for baptisms I think

The original marble floors I think, prove me wrong, I dare you.

Coll mosaics all over the floor. Some are kinda weird though. There are some black bits in some places, that's because there was a fire once. It burned all their scrolls :(

ITS SO CUTE OMG WHY IS IT SO FLUFFY ❤❤❤

The church on the outside

On the treasury soldiers shot the statue of the goddess Isis until unrecognizable. We talked about it and it didn't make sense for it to be Isis, but that's what the guide and the internet say so idk.

This is my mood 90% of the time ðŸĪŠ

This is wesley 100%

Cute doggo

Mom gave Wesley and I an assignment, it included taking a picture of our hats in the cute out things. Mines the taller one. Turns out we went to the wrong building. ðŸĪĶ‍♀️

Pretty :)

This is the almost completed cairn we made. Pretty epic.
